Momo's Bakehouse Story

Momo's Bakehouse began with two cousins, a shared dream, and the belief that life is too short to wait for 'someday.'

Monique, the heart and hands behind Momo's, grew up in California before making her way to Texas to be closer to family, including her cousin Carissa. For years, the two talked about opening a cozy bakery and bookshop together, always 'someday, when life slows down.'

Then Monique received a cancer diagnosis. After surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, she won her battle and is now in remission; but the experience made one thing undeniably clear: tomorrow isn't guaranteed. So the two cousins stopped waiting and started building.

Carissa found a little blue Kei truck, built a custom bakery display in the back, and named it Kei for Kimsa, after her own middle name. Together, they opened up shop right where they were.

Momo's Bakehouse is more than a home bakery. It's a celebration of resilience, family, and the joy of showing up fully  because the sweetest things in life are worth sharing right now.
